whats the point of the water queens house?
I cant seem to find anything interesting. There isn't anyworthwhile loot. No quests, or a story related encounter. Most interresting thing is when you use speak with dead on the dead girl. But it's ultimately pointless. Is there something about that place i missed? because it just seems like it's taking up space.

If you already did the iron throne, nothing. There's a quest there that involves your mode of transport to the iron throne. You can get a fancy dress as a reward, but otherwise you didn't miss much.
It's act 3, almost every quest and location is cut to pieces.

Half of Act 3 was cut for time.

There's very much something about that place.

Yet the quest related to that area is not cut....

Everything is "cut" in act 3, including the stuff that appears to be fully implemented like the investigate the murders/toys quests, are clearly not fully implemented at all.

It has quest about the submarine that can take you to the Iron throne.

There's a quest that's an alternate way to learn about the iron throne

Probably why you didn't get the quest.
They send you to go investigate what they saw in the water.

There are different ways you can get quests or not. For example if you go the Sharess Caress first you get the quest from the lady at the entrance to look for the "librarian" and get a reward at the end. If you discover the "librarian" body before that, you can inform her she is dead but no reward since she never sent you after her first. You can find other examples. Makes sense, it's why i try to take different paths and orders on different run, always finding something new, even camp events by building approvals in different order. Can't experience everything in one playthrough. You can be sure there are stuff you did not experience or rewards due the path and order you chose, which is nice for replayability.

There's a basement that's kind of hidden (look around the fishermen that are on the beach by the temple). If you take the loot there, Umberlee summons some Sahuagin to fight you.

Anyway, it's BG tradition to kill everything in an Umberlaunt temple.
