Idol of Silvanus: Companions turn into enemies in the camp
I was keeping the Idol of Silvanus in my Travellers chest to protect it from moonlight before long rests... I was perfectly able to move it in an out of the chest in ACT 1... Now I am at Mountain Pass and I went to the camp to take and carry the idol with me but when I tried to pick it up from the chest all my beast companions in the camp, (owlbear, scratch and shovel) including Wyll, all turned into enemies?!?!?
Can somebody explain?

From the WIKI
The idol is also hard coded to induce a theft response in surrounding NCPs. In camp they are the Party or guests and have no theft dialog so any witnessing the "crime" of picking the idol off the ground will see your own companion's and pets turn instantly hostile as if you stole from them personally.

From what I gather this is a very nasty bug and not the way it is intented to be, because this doesnt happen when dragged and dropped but only "picked up" also pick up option is not red... hence its my chest.

For those who suffer the same and looking for a work around, just drag and drop between inventories.

Huh. Sounds like a bug. Scratch and Owl shouldn't give a ♥♥♥♥ about Druid religion.

Even moving the Idol between inventories of your party members in anyone's vicinity does the same - everyone red, you can kill and revive them, which "cleans" their behaviour, you cannot revive your pets or Volo though...

I found a workaround just now - whenever you want to move the Idol from Traveller's Chest, be sure to put it in one more container INSIDE Traveller's Chest BEFORE you remove it:

1) Put the pouch inside Travellers Chest.
2) Move the Idol Of Silvanus into the pouch.
3) Now you're safe, nobody can see what's in the pouch, still they feel the effect of the blessing, which is unimmersive, but who cares.

Why you even keep it in storage when it provides bonus aura???

But the aura stop working after 1st long rest though :c

That's the reason. It stops working because it is exposed to moonlight when you long rest, even if it's inside a container whilst in your own inventory. Currently, traveller's chest is the only way to preserve the bonuses after you long rest.
You just need to make sure that you put it inside the camp chest BEFORE you end the day, then you can go to bed, next mornin it'll still have the blessings when you take it out.

Throwing Raphael's corpse in camp does the same thing.
