how is that not obvious?
Resting in Underdark will give you a different camp than resting in the forge area.
I found a way out and explore above ground for a bit, found Level 3 Owl Bear underground which I didn't engage with (because my party was still Level 2) and so I exited and explored more.
Then I decided that this was getting me nowhere and decided to fast travel back to the original hub area, but "camp" was not the waypoint to pick.
So I was just wondering what I have got myself into as I figure out the game's systems before full release drops in August. It seems like a massive step up from Divinity OS2, that's for sure.
Overground and underground/indoors use different camps, both are instanced areas unconnected to the main map.
When you "go to camp" during the day you are basically just accessing your camp stash and any camp followers or companions you told to wait at camp. If you are underground/indoors, it will be a different camp, but you will have access to all the same things (or at least should). When select 'leave camp' you should reappear exactly where you were when you went to camp. You should also have the option to rest by clicking on a bedroll.
Pressing the long rest button will bring you to the same camp as before, except it will be night time and any pending cinematics will play.
Does that clarify things?
