What is a non humanoid? Non bipède?

Something that doesn't have two arms, two legs, and generally doesn't look like a human with a different color, size, or slightly altered features (disproportionately bigger hands or teeth, for example).

Zero.

Did you know or not-know there are sex scenes before asking this? Roleplaying fandom is weird enough already. We don't need to make it weirder on purpose.

I did, although I didn't remember it. However, I thought they'd be the usual "sex" scenes in these games, where at best you get one character model atop another and some text to go with it. Or the Pathfinder route, where it just fades to black.

Regardless, I was only asking because it gets tiresome that in worlds of fantasy and sci-fi, with infinite possibilities, every single playable race is humanoid. At least IMO. Is there anything similar to a Genasi? By "similar" I mean a race that has variants for each of the four elements, or at least fire.

Heh heh, that's where the plasmoid comes in. Or the druid having fun with the wild shapes!

Indeed! +1, you play druid you will be able to morph into several different animals! :)
Capt.Luke May 3, 2023 @ 4:14pm
you can play as a druid or a party of 4 druids that morph into an animal(s) that is non human and later he it can morph into more things

and mods could also make change to those morph to wahever you wish for
there is no limit realy as long as a modler wanna do it or is paid to do it

That's not exactly what I was looking for.

in BG3, none. In 5e as a whole, directly 3 official that I can remember, the humanoid category is something that like others have said typically follows 2 arms 2 legs, vaguely looks human.
Centaurs, Thri-keen, and Plasmoids are not humanoid. centaurs (4 legs 2 arms) are Fey, Thri-keen (4 arms 2 legs) are monstrosities, and plasmoid (no arms, no legs) are oozes(Although they do have a feature that allows them to hold a form that would be humanish). There are other different creature type races that are humanlike. Satyr for example, which is technically Fey but could be passed as a human.

But again in BG3, no non humanoid races will be available on launch. Modders will certainly do some stuff though, but unless it's done really really well. Cinematics would be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ beyond belief.

P.S. Genasi are also humanoid but I doubt those will be released, for whatever reason though you can make your characters skin tone that of different types of genies.

I know Genasi are humanoid, but they're one of the few humanoid races I found interesting.

Is there a list of races that will be in the game at release? I probably should've just asked that right away.

PHB races + Gith because plot relevance, if any other races will be included at launch for PC's it has been kept under wraps and not mentioned by anyone, during any point in EA or development.

It's a classic rpg set in a classic rpg fantasy world, with multiple races, deities, classic dungeon and dragons style.

Don't you guy knew that?

You know, elves, goblins, humans, giths, etc, etc?

I don't know if what you are looking for exists! Maybe in something epic and grandiose like the Dune saga, with the space guild? :steamsalty:

I know it doesn't. I was hoping it would, at some point. I'm surprised more people aren't bored of always playing slightly different humans in universes of infinite possibilities.

I mean, unless you want to be playing a horse person, a bug monster, or a sentient pile of slime, or humanoid robots (autognome/warforged) even genasi is just a slighty more different humanoid...

Like I said, Genasi are simply the ones that intrigued me the most out of all the humanoid races I saw (and they're also the least used, as I've discovered).

I wouldn't mind playing any of those things, no. At least it'd be something different than the usual humans with different skin tones and/or heights. Slime in particular sounds interesting, though.
