YOUR WORST CLASS AND RACE
I've seen a lot of "this kind of thread" so far where OP is asking what is your favorite class or race. That is the good threads of this community upon me. Some have shared some of their build in detail and some have increase my perception in a term of optimization.
Well this thread is not about that. This is the opposite:
WHAT IS THE WORST CLASS upon you?
WHAT IS THE WORST RACE upon you?

It's just out of curiosity. I wonder what you are never gonna try? What you are never gonna play? Even if you can increment your answer with something like "are you able to play this class/race as a recruitment" it could be a nice touch.

So i am a nice gentle one, very known in this forum for my great ability to like everything and everyone, so of course i don't have a worst class and race...
... Except for the tiefflin! (i don't even know how to write it correctly) I really really doesn't like them at all. I don't even understand how is it possible they are a playable race, i don't even know their backstory (you are welcome to teach me).

Also the alchemist is not here and that's very fine, because i don't like it neither. If there was an alchemist in this game i wouldn't recruit her. I don't like paladin, i don't like to play them, but i like to recruit one in my group (should i talk to a psychologist for this?).

I could be more specific with the subclass, but maybe for another thread.

I've never cared for gnomes or dwarves. I've very gradually been looking into making dwarf characters (you can mostly thank Dragon Age: Origins for that development), but even then they're not high on my list. And I genuinely don't care about gnomes at all.

Classes? Hrm. Never cared for monk, it always seemed like such a niche class conceptually. I have a hard time playing clerics because I struggle to get into the headspace of a religious person. Whenever I play a wizard I basically play them like a sorcerer because wizards are nothing but a big headache.

That said I would accept almost anything as a companion as long as the character writing is decent. It gives me an avenue to try the things I normally wouldn't touch without tainting my own PC.

I don't really 'dislike' or think anything's "The worst" per se, but Humans are on the bottom of my race tier list.
Sure, it can be fun to just be a human, but when I play in a fantasy setting, I want to avoid playing Humans like the plague.
I wanna play the insane non-human races, be they actual monsters or 'just' non-humanoids.
In the absence of that I,ll take the most monstorous-looking humanoid race I can find, like Dragonborn, Centaurs or Aarakocra.

Interesting. I had the same way of seeing humans "before" then someone changed my opinion. I like to share what this someone told me:
- Globally he says that when you are playing in dungeon and dragon the human that you are playing is more heroïc than if you've picked something else. Because the standards of the other races in our fantasy mind is upper than what we are picturing as a place for a human in a fantasy race (not very english, i will try better).
That is true that i don't give a lot of virtues in my perception of a human in a fantasy setting but my standards for elves is quite high for example. And so on, when you are playing a human in this fantasy setting "his degree of heroism compared to the human standards is impressive" at least compared to your heroîc elf with your elven standards.
I think my friend his quite right on this (but still i don't play human, so don't tell him :D).

Wait, do Centaurs count as humanoids? :o

I think Centaurs count more as.. Fey, if I recall correctly?
Don't quote me on that though, it's been a while since I played D&D on tabletop.

Personally I prefer having my monstorous characters being silly and having dumb quirks.
My favorites include a Lizardman who LOVES cheese and who adamantly refuses to do her Clerical duties without it.
Or a Kobold Paladin praying to random rocks by the wayside.

I have a very similar view, I like playing non-humans, though I still sometimes play human. My general rule of thumb is to have 1 odd thing about a character- either racially or conceptually. So, if I make a kobold, that's an odd race choice, so the concept will probably be pretty basic. If I make a feytouched wilder type of character, I'll likely make them human just to even it out a bit.

Sometimes I also play humans if I'm really stressing an everyman character. My go-to is human bard, since I can just play off a bard as "guy that plays lute real gud" instead of an epic hero out of the box.

Worst race for me : gnome i dislike small creature for my custom character.
Worst class : mechanically warlock, maybe it get better at later level but the 2 spell slot is not for me. It feel like a martial spellcaster that only do cantrip the pet is neat tho.

Is halfling is ok for you?

Human monk - So many other systems do monk/unarmed fighters justice DnD just makes them... unexciting. Combined the class with the base human, the monk for me, becomes the settings orderly. Not a proper healer and a weak striker.

I may get around for a monk run but not a human monk.

Halfling and gnome are kinda same for me, if i need to play small race i prefer dwarf.
I'm more into serious character and halfling are a joke race for me.

While not realy hate them, Gnomes and all elves would be at the bottom of my list. No idea how monks work in 5th edition, but they were always the most boring class in D&D video games for me.

Class: Druid. Mechanically I like the class but it's so...nature-bound and I just can't keep that focus in front when RP'ing.
Race: Halfling, for me it's the lore..Now it's probably my perception but all the other player races seem to have some great moment in history and some desire to be great again in the future. Halflings to me, just seem to be easy going country folk who sometimes did a bit of stealing in their legends and that's all they want to be.

Any race that isn't full size ie Gnome, dwarf, halfing. and pretty much just won't play monk. thankfully they haven't implemented monk yet

Any "small" race as a fighter or barbarian, when your one job is damage output and you get a bunch of negatives, like reduced damage from weapon size, having to invest feats to use larger weapons, etc, I just don't see a positive for them.
