Respec and Change Our Character Looks?
I hope in the full release we'll be able to Respec and Change our Character Looks. Without having to restart, the game 😡

A lot of time we "create" characters that look good in the character creator 😜
But once you're in a game they don't look as good 😝 and then it bugs the "crap" out of you 😡
and you try to ignore the character flaw 🙄 but it is still annoying 😝 And then eventually you re-roll the character and start the game, for the umpteenth time 🤬

So I don't care if it costs? I want to be able to Respec my abilities and Change my character looks if necessary.

Discuss bellow 😜

I have not found this to be the case personally, the face appears exactly the same as in CC so if you dislike it in CC then you would dislike it in game.

DOS2 had a mirror to change looks and i believe respec (it's been a while) so maybe they might add one.

i prefer games where people should deal with the consequences of the choices they make.

Changing appearance maybe, but I don't see respec happening. It's not a class-less system like DOS was, and things are tied in to the story.

I see this as a solution in search of a problem. If I create a new character, I know before I get to the Druid Grove whether it's working, and if it is not, I just start over. No big deal.

They could add a barber npc into the game that allows us to change hairstyles and beards. Barber refuge from elturel in the druids grove ( basic hairstyles) and a rich noble Barber in BG with the (more extravagant/exotic hair styles)

Darien I agree with you.

Maybe the option to alter hair styles or color. I just want to alter my companions in some way. I'll never forgive what Larion did to my poor Gale... Mr. Chipmunk Cheeks...

I’d bet they’ll have it. Not just appearance, but abilities as well. Larian seems to want to bring in new players.

Not everyone is familiar with 5e, and restarting because you picked terrible spells would get old quick. I’m sure that thought has crossed Larian’s mind.

Worse case, it’ll get modded in.

DOS had a magic mirror, but this ain’t DOS3, so it either won’t be an option or you’ll have to pay skeleton boy for it.

I'm for this as long as they make it immersive, and something more interesting than potion. they could tie this function to Withers.

We have respec in real D&D; people can ask the DM to retire a character and bring their new character into the story. You can also ask for house rules, custom loot, retcons, or special circumstances to change a build.

Video games have more reason for respec, because there isn't a DM to custom-nerf encounters for your broken build. If your character is bad in a video game, you need to fix it.
