Save the Gnomes from the Druegar

Hello there,
is there any possibility to save the gnomes?
I allied with Brithvar against Nere and told Nere to spare the Gnomes but in the fight the Gnomes became hostile....
Is it a bug or what is happening?

You can save them but your allies might attack them or an AOE might hit one. After that they are hostile. Also make sure they are out of the blast radius when you blow the rocks.

Also if you summon the Ogres they will attack the Ogres on sight. I would run like hell if I was just little and 3 Ogres just popped in.

If you summon the Spectator it will attack whomever so that will also set them off.

They'll become angry if you use any damaging area effect, it doesn't matter whether you hit them or not. Their bloodlust may end after the character doing such a thing is dead, or not as is their wont.

However, as mentioned above all gnomes should be killed, they''re all evil. They pass themselves off as just short ugly things that talk to animals or make worthless trinkets, but there is no depths to their depravity. What do they tell the animals they talk to? Likely to strow your trash all over the yard, or to crap amongst all your possessions. What is the purpose of the worthless trinkets they make? To make us weak and unproductive. In the end, you will learn this and hate them as well.

I love gnomes and you should save them.

As mentioned - any AOE damage when you blow open the rocks will cause them to attack you.

If you want to blow open the rock with out hurting anyone - you have to find the rune powder fromt he female gnome you are quested to fine. If you use the exploding powder, it will hurt the gnomes and everyone attacks you.

Honestly - The only way this fight is challenging is to go full murder hobo. I couldn't believe how easy the fight was at level 5. I've beaten it at level 4 as well, but level 5 is a cakewalk

Nere gets thrown into the lava on round one. After that it is just mop up.

I saved the gnomes with a dialogue choice after teaming up with the slavers to defeat Nere. So, yes, you can save them if you can pass the dialogue skill checks.
