[Question] How to calculate number of Spell Slots?
Hello,

I have a multiclassed paladin 4 + cleric 1.
He has 4 level 1 + 2 level 2 spells slots.

How to do you calculate the number of spell slots a multiclassed character has?
From the wiki, being a level 4 paladin, he shouln't have access to level 2 spell slots.

Could someone explain to me how this works?
Thanks :)

The spell slots are calculated by your character total number of caster levels. Classes that count as a full caster count as a full level, paladin counts as half caster. So a paladin 4 cleric 1 counts as a level 3 full caster: (4/2 + 1) = 3

Is warlock considered a full caster?
Or is he limited to the couple of spells he can cast per rest?

For example, does a multiclassed level 2 paladin + level 2 warlock have acces to 4 level 1 spell slots + 2 level 2 spell slots?
(This multiclass would be considered a level 3, based on the chart from the post before).

Thanks for your help. :)

Warlocks are entirely separate. Pact Magic doesn't combine with Spellcasting, basically. Their spell slot progression is entirely different -- pretty much 1 or 2 spell slots for almost all the available levels, but they're short-rest slots.

Warlocks aren't treated as spellcasters for the purpose of determining spell slots when multiclassing.

no problem. I actually just finished up a Paladin/Warlock playthrough (Paladin (Oathbreaker) 7/Warlock (Fiend,Pact of the Blade) 5). since Warlocks aren't counted as spellcasters, you have whatever spell slots a paladin of that level would normally have, but then you have 2 Pact Magic spell slots that'll be at whatever level a Warlock of that level would have. with mine, I only had up to lv2. Paladin spells and slots, but I also had 2 lv.3 Pact Magic slots that came back on short rest and could be used for Divine Smite.
