Why are the Dyes like this?!

Whoever decided that the clothing dyes should work this way and not have a preview option, I want to strangle them.

Yeah, ideally they should open a menu of all the dyes you have, and preview whichever one you've moused over.

I think it's something that's easy for the devs to forget about, like players wanting to change their hairstyle.

Agreed. If you're not into save-scumming, then what you're left with are one-time use dyes with vague descriptions. If you use the dye and don't like it that's gone, and if you want to change back you have to use one of the 5 dye removal vials you start the game with.

It's also weird how the dyes don't always match their color, or make any difference

like, Black and Forge red, you'd tihnk would be black and red

But it's not, it's like gold and green.

I have a cloak and a pair of boots that never show dye, they never change regardless of what color i use as well

Same for clothing in general. You can't preview any of the camp outfit gear before buying it, so you have to either just buy it all and waste gold or look it up online.

I can tolerate it basically all being act 3 gear you purchase, because every game does that (though I'd prefer being able to get it earlier; at least like act 2), but not being able to see what it's going to look like one your character when its entire purpose is cosmetic to begin with is a pretty lame oversight.

The dyes bother me something fierce. Especially if you dye metal on armor, hoy boy what a mess. They certainly should have added a preview and also maybe fix the dyes because certain dyes are out of place and dont match with what it says in the description.

Wow. I literally cannot think of a thing in this game that I give less of a ♥♥♥♥ about.

Dye costs what . . . 6 gold? If you don't like what you got, spend 6 more gold and see if you can find something you like.

Or if you just cannot afford another 6 gold, there is always Power Word: Reload.

It's not like it affects the game in any way, and if you cannot afford 6 more gold to get the color you like, you are doing something very wrong.

Wants to dye a cape green. Uses green dye. Turns it brown. Uses yellow dye. It turns it purple. Uses indigo dye. Turns it gold.

Want to dye a circlet gem green. uses green dye. turns the gem red.

Obviously I'm using f5 to not waste dye but omg why did they make it like this lol

I think there's something about the material AND if the equipment is already dyed.
