Last Light Inn advice (spoilers)
I failed to protect Isobel and well, everyone died. I don't like savescumming so I just moved on but I wonder if I'm missing out on content now. I really enjoy talking with all the npcs and it bothers me that npcs like Dammon and Alfira whom I liked are dead. Should I actually go back and try to save everyone? Do any of these characters matter at all in later parts of the game? I'm trying to explore as much as I can on my first playthrough so I don't like the idea of missing out on quests. I wanted to hear your suggestions.

Yes, you missed out on some stuff. As to how impactful it is story wise, you can still easily complete the game. Some of the NPCs have quests and whatnot to offer you.

If you're committed to not save scumming, stick to it. Do another run and see how differently events play out. I do recommend creating a safety save if you really want to win this battle next time though, because sometimes the RNG just isn't on your side.

No reason to torment yourself, go back and save her. Don't look at it as savescumming, you can regard it as a fail state, same as a party wipe. You failed to win the battle, so you try again.

If you failed then you fked up. Maybe its a wake up call to get better.

Lean into it. Understand you're responsible for this and its going to weight heavily on your psyche, slowly driving you to become more bitter and twisted over your failure, and by the time you're at Baldur's Gate, you've totally gone over to the dark side.

All hail the Absoloute!

- You loose Jaheira + (propably) Minsc in Act 3.
- Dammon as a Vendor in Act 3 and all his craftable Armor if not already crafted before you failed saving Isobel in Act 2
- You loose Halsin
- You loose the chance of healing the Land from the Shadow Course
- You loose the Harpers as Allies
- You loose the Tieflings as Allies (Mainly Zevlor)
- You loose Allies while attacaking Moon Tower
- You loose Mol/Raphael Questline
- You loose saving the Tiefling-Mini Quest
- You loose the Tiefling-in-love-Mini Quest
- You loose the Ox-Quest
- You fail saving the Iron Hand Gnomes (might be wrong not 100 % sure about that)
- You wont have protection against the Shadow Curse, which means you need to have the whole time a Torch out until you get a Moon Lantern

... So ... yes. Reload and try again, there is absolute no "benefit" by not doing so.

Yeah, keep going and this gives you a solid reason for a second playthrough. Redemption!

You'll miss out on one of the best casting robes in the game that Alfira gives you in act 3.

You also miss out on some really good armor from Dammond in act 3.

So yeah you lose some pretty good stuff later on if you fail that.

I save scummed the hell outta that fight. They killed Alfira on round 1 and I wasn't having any of that.

I also had to reload that fight like 10 times, cause the councilor whatshername kept turning hostile and I couldn't understand why.

Thanks everyone I guess I'll just try again then. I'll be playing as evil dark urge for my second playthrough so I don't think I'll be helping anyone there. I think it's best I keep everyone alive on this playthrough for the sake of having fun and not being depressed over dead npcs lol.

this is one reason.

I took some Ls but since Ive played first online with friends, my single player playthrough is runnin reaaaal smooth, and I did some save scums here and there.

You don't lose Jaheira or Minsc
You don't lose Halsin
"Lose" is spelled "Lose"
You can still heal the shadow curse
You can still have harpers as allies
You do not lose Zevlor
The allies attacking moon tower don't change (**Edit. You do lose several harpers that join you in the fight, but Jaheira still joins you)
You do not lose Mol
You do lose "save the tieflings"
You do not lose the ox quest
You do not fail saving iron hand gnomes
You do not lose protection from shadow curse.

lol, I've never seen a more confident list of inaccurate things.

Though she CAN die if LL falls. And at that point, she's running on NPC AI, so ...

You can still have harpers as allies
[snip]
The allies attacking moon tower don't change

I'm curious about those two "corrections" as I saw another person claim that when LL fell, and he later assaulted the Towers, there were no Harper allies (though he was happy about it since they didn't get in the way of his AoEs, LOL).

Losing last light is a viable path towards playing the game. Many elements of story do change. The dude above that gave a long list of what you lose forgot the one thing you really do lose. You lose the support of Counselor Florrick (if you did not resolve the conversation which causes her to depart).

I recommend a re-load if it is your first playthrough, especially if you are taking a good/noble path. The game is viable either way. I find the game to be a lot less fun when last light falls and you lose access to some nice shops.

You are correct, there are no harpers that join the tower assault. Jaheira still helps you but there are a few others that join. That was a mistake on my part. Those extra harpers are missing if LL falls.
