If you want to know what the story is, hover over the text below:
It's her dad in shapeshift form, who was watching over her during her selunite rite of passage. He was attacked and captured by Shar worshippers, and she was abducted. She had her memories magically erased but the trauma remained
well not every dialogue are suppose to trigger first of all. There are certain condition for dialogue to be triggered whether it be if your party did x or other factors like approval rating like other have said.
Like someone else have said its probably just an approval rating. Just pay attention to her companion quest because that is essentially her storyline. If the journal doesn't match your actions then i would be concern otherwise everything is fine.
Be aware that near the end of act 2 the player will have a major impact on the development of shadowheart.
if you kill the nightsong, she goes down the dark path and from what i hear u cant romance her anymore. Freeing the nightsong will give her the good ending
The truth about the wolves is only explained in act3 at the end of her quest. It’s ok but very predictable.
1: Cutscene didn't trigger
2: You selected dialogue choices the 2nd time that didn't go down that path.
3: Your reputation with Shadowheart was not high enough the 2nd time to trigger her sharing that with you.
Your choices in the game do impact the story quite a good deal, especially with regards to what information you get when/if at all. As some people spoiled above, Shadowhearts story goes way deeper then that initial wolf cutscene and even that cutscene isn't the full cutscene you can potentially get (later on).
