I probably had the most trouble with Dror Ragzlin, as I fought him at level 4.
Took some tacticting to prep everything so that I could beat him.
Meaning I cleared 90% of the camp, released, and befriended the spiders to help fight him, and it was still close.
Yeah, if you take the githyanki on at level 5 and initiate the fight through dialogue, it seems like a pretty clear winner.
There’s just not much content before you see them. If you fight them BEFORE level 5 it’s probably the hardest fight in the game and you need to do serious prep with potions, set ups, etc. even AT level 5 it’s tough.
Every time I've fought Grym (even on Tactician), it's been over before he loses the initial instance of Superheated. Lae'zel and Karlach just wailing on him with blunt weapons does plenty.
