Cant free the pixie

There should an option to free the pixie after you lift the shadow curse, i wanted to do it right before leaving to Baldurs Gate, but then i realize the Inspect Lantern option is not available anymore, cant make a good decision on my good playthrough....

Keeping the pixie until after you don't need it anymore is hardly a good decision

i think it depends on which lantern you have i think, it must be the first moonlantern you encounter against/with the spider guy, not the one on balthazar office

The game makes you believe you cant trust the pixie, so i kept her on the lantern until she wasnt crucial at traversing the shadownlands...

she is still with you even after you save her with that orb she gives you

if you leave the area and head back to druid grove area and long rest and go back you need the pixie buff again

you click on the orb and she pops out and u ask her to buff you again (though u need to beg for it in a nice way )

Still doesn't make doing so a "good" decision. A good character wouldn't keep another creature trapped for their own needs, they would find another way.

my character found his way to do good and lifted the curse he didnt have anything to do with it and took away any reason for others to exploit the pixie when she was free.

It's at the very least a logical decision that a player can be expected to attempt.

I may be remembering this incorrectly but I think if you get the lantern from Isobel and not the spider abomination you escort you can only start the interaction while you have the lantern equipped. When it's equipped you then you get an extra ability to use the lantern. This lets you talk to the faerie.

I tried taking the lantern at the start and from what I remember I could use the lantern in my inventory but when I played through the area again and sided with the harpers(They took the lanter) I could only use/interact with the lantern Isobel gave me while it was equipped by using the lantern ability that comes with it.

I think the lanterns that you cant interact with, have dead pixies inside, like the one you get from balthazar`s room. the you get from the spider dude has a living pixie inside you can talk to.
