some are more equal than others.
it says "height" but in fact it achieves that through a simple scaling up of the model. So you can have your huge 2.5 meters tall half-orc.
In their defence, removing hard racial was a great call. If you really want, you can just select the RAW attributes to upgrade. More choices are always good, so long as its not at the expense of other choices and customization options.
Had a friend not gotten this game for me, I would be just fine sitting back and waiting until character sliders were re-implemented.
There are reasons to not allow it in "big proportions", like allowing you to resize "50%". It has to do with clipping, animations and meshes. But small changes, there is no reason to not allow it, unless you design armor to be "tight fit" for sizes.
And people do like those.
I have a mod for another game to allow for resizing in a game that doesnt, it is like get to the public lobby in Hamada International at mid day and say you have free cold refreshments. Even people who are not thirst will show up.
lol
Hell I've heard hilarious campaigns to do with a dumb as bricks Barb who got his party into all kinds of trouble (human pc) and it was more interesting than hearing about the 20/68 STR Half-Orc with no real negative traits.
EDT: My favorite character was Cobbletopple, Rock Gnome Ranger with 6 STR and 18 DEX. Weak but due to his size bonus' and favored enemy he was more than up to the task.
there's no pure orc so half-orcs shouldnt even be possible... then you got their massive jaw clipping through every damn helm. it feels like they just added it late with some duct-tape.
