HOW to use spore druid

I thought I would test out the spore Druid but I don’t think I’m using it right? How do you play this character?

It's extremely underwhelming until level 6 (when you get fungal spores which is basically what you use it for)

The concept for it is weird and doesn't really work very well imo. Its fairly weak compared to other classes when iv tested it a few different ways.

This is what I found? The haste ability only works if you stand in it and it’s one turn? So ….. I have a ranger/thief (Shadowheart)
I’m a paladin/cleric and I had to make Minsc a Paladin/warlock because it just suits him so well. I wanted to keep Jaheira loyal to the Druid class but the spore Druid just doesn’t seem fun so far. What’s another OP class I can use her for?

Generally it's used as a 'tank' type character. Make them durable, pick up Sentinel to lock enemies down close to them, and select spells that slow or stop enemies and funnel them into choke points. Force them into approaching and then getting stuck next to the druid where they take constant damage from the spore aura. It does take a little bit to get online, and can be slightly tricky to build well, but can be perfectly effective.
