Report a translation problem
1. Cleanup your PC properly by using RevoUninstaller and its advanced options to uninstall Baldur's Gate 3 cleanly.
Make sure the Larian Studios folder and its contents in AppData\Local\ is truly gone - you might want to backup your vanilla savegames
2. Copy and paste your BG3 from the flash drive to any location on the PC, try launching using the executable only you can find in the bin subfolder without Steam
If that does not work, then you know you cannot copy&paste over mods. If the game is just vanilla, it will work.
No patch issue. More a user handling issue when updating without restarting your PC, considering common issues of the game in regards of cache and process.
