If you don't have the harpers/fist with you, then obviously things are much harder.
i dont know i just let my warrior teleport to her in melee, and crush her in like 5 strikes.
i also managed to keep Jaheira alive... untill the Ketheric fight :(
Wall of fire combined with those void bombs really useful in this fight, at least was for me.
Abuse the fact you can steal everything from a vendor and then sell it back to them. Level up a character to refresh the vendor inventory for essentially infinite gold. Ran out of level ups? Go respec a character for 100 gold and repeat.
Use the gold to buy scrolls. ANYONE can cast spells from scrolls. Not just wizards etc.
This is VERY useful for summoning spells. Especially the Ice Mephits. (or water elemental).
Going into a fight with 4 is rough. Going into a fight with 12 - 16 that can turn the entire floor into a sheet off ice and body block enemies/attacks of opportunity/soak hits changes the outcome dramatically.
Especially if you funnel all of the enemies into a kill box.
You can then have your Evocation wizard drop [evocation] spells right on top of your head because it will not hurt friendlies.
And casting spells from scrolls does not eat up valuable spell slots.
You can also have someone cast haste on your barbarian/fighter and then chug an invisibility potion so they are never in danger of losing concentration. Your fighter now gets 6+ attacks per turn to smash face with.
Also a well timed hold person/hold monster in front of your hasted warrior lets you basically 0 out any enemy in a single turn.
My character was sorcerer, I had Gale with me, I had Halsin too and all 3 of us had wall of fire and Gale and my sorcerer had ice storm, and I asked Jaheira to fight with me so I was able to control her during that fight. It is also easier to keep her alive too.
