Divine Intervention
choices are :

1: Arm Thy Servant: Gain the legendary mace Devotee’s Mace as a permanent weapon.
2: Golden Generosity: Receive a bunch of potions and camp supplies.
3: Opulent Revival: All downed characters are revived with half health. Living characters will be healed as well.
4: Sunder the Heretical: Deal up to 80 Radiant Damage to nearby enemies.

Num 1 is the obvious choice right??why would someone choose 2,3,4.

Cause you don’t need a mace I suppose? It still seems like the best option to me.

Now that I think of it you could choose 3 for the story. It’s kinda cool. Your god sweeps in to res the whole party at a significant battle.

There is no reason to not get the mace

Bit of a lackluster power for 1 use per game.

1. Sadly that mace isn't particularly good. Lathander's is available much earlier and will last the whole game, while others can be found or bought that are also better.

2. Kind of a waste given the over-abundance of both food and potions.

3/4 Very situational, but actually useful when you need them.

You can dualwield both. Or have 2 characters using maces.

Mace is pretty sh*ty compared to other weapons in the game imo. But again I never use Divine Intervention at all, I always save it for later and forget about it :D

Sure, but again, better are available. Also requires you to give up some of the very good shield options and spend feats on improving dual-wielding if not just holding just for power.

Opulent revival also grants the benefits of a long rest to living party members.
You can get 1 divine intervention from ALL of your characters by respeccing them into Cleric, popping it ,then spec back if you want. (total of 200 gold)

The mace sucks but you could just respec one or all of the 12 hirelings you have into Clerics and get yourself 12 maces if you really wanted them. Or you could use them to create food and gear 12 times, although by that point in the game you don't need it, or you shouldn't, anyway. Also Feast of Heroes exists which kinda diminishes its effect even further. It's an option though - you're probably not going to use those hirelings anyway, so why not get some free stuff out of it?

Have your actual cleric take Opulent Revival or Sunder the Heretical and use it when the situation warrants it instead of simply reloading the game, I guess.

For me, I'd take Opulent Revival, personally. I probably wouldn't end up using it, but it'd be more in line with my Light Domain Cleric than any of the other options.

The mace isn't bad - it's even pretty good for end of Act 2/start of Act 3. That said, unless you're really in need of a weapon, you may as well save the intervention for that one moment where you could really use 3 or 4

You can get a better mace (Lathander) at the very start of Act 2 / end of Act 1, so yeah, don't see a point. And later you get a lot of cool shields or a spear as well. Though dual wielding from my experience is kinda meh.

But option 4 looks cool in the fight when you actually use it. Just... don't use it as a Hope in that one fight

In act3 you gain a temporary cleric "pet" for one specific fight it also has divine intervention - so i used the nuke option with her it was underwhelming.

Haven't used it on shadowheart yet as it not really needed.

Also you dont have to choose for 100g you can cast it 1 for every companion/hireling if you need some help 😜

I was really hoping it would be a one-time unique summons (maybe an avatar?)

Lathander's blood is superior to the Divine Intervention mace.
