Surely you mean short rest. The long rest would be one of forms of the cleric's Divine Intervention
I horde the full rest angelics and save them for the final 'battle'. There should be enough in the game for everyone to have them at the end. But you don't even need those as your summons can distract in the middle and you don't even need to fight anything with your party other than the inner brain.
For the final battle you just need 2 spells/abilities: 4 dimension door and 1 globe, all of which can be scrolls if you are tapped out on spells. Tag-teaming dimension door in 2 pairs gets the whole party to the entrance location in the 1st turn. Cast globe to protect the entrance while the gems do their thing. Enter the brain, smite it, and win the game.
You can easily recover your full health (for ALL party members) without any potions or sleep IF you got the wavemother robe from the Temple of the ♥♥♥♥♥ Queen high priestess and you brought but a simple carafe of water... Spells... No, of course.
You just didn't look hard enough. Its there.
