EDIT: Oh yeah, also GOO lock is best. Especially for Githyanki, at least thematically. Patron doesn't *really* matter.
Still farie fire can be quite good at the early levels for party wide AoE advantage
Act 1, the underground cellar in Blighted Village. It's the same place where the Necromancy of Thay book is.
Shovel can be summoned by a scroll found in one of the chests there.
In the Blighted village in act one. In the alchemy basement. There is a Quasit summoning scroll in one of the caskets. Use it and it summons a unique quasit. Talk to it, then talk to it again once you get past the mirror and he says "spellshite? Use shiny magic to call Shovel for fisting" and that's it.
He is hilarious in combat. He yells fisting time and stuff.
