Enemies are targeting my characters without any sight ETC.
Lower Baldurs Gate seems buggy as fk. Holy sht. This really KILLS THE IMMERSION HERE.

At Felogyrs Fireworks
I sneak to the top floor I start this fight but all the people on the floor below and and even below that on the 1st floor are SEEING MY CHARACTERS AND TARGETING THEM WITH FIRE BALLS...... what kind of SHT is this?

Let me go on to explain how stupid this is.

Those spells that create a fog or mist that BLOCKS VIEW ok.... these things will stop people from shooting a fireball threw them...
YET ENEMIES WHO CANNOT SEE ME BECAUSE THEY ARE ON LOWER FLOORS AND THEIR VISION IS BLOCKED BY THE FLOOR.... AND WALLS.... MEAN NOTHING.. BECAUSE THEY SIMPLY TARGET MY DUDES WITH FIREBALLS even though they cannot see them.

I even put my character in that one room on the top floor that has walls on all sides and the only way to see in was threw the door... well GUESS WHAT.... STILL THE ENEMY ON THE LOWER FLOOR IS ABLE TO TARGET MY CHARACTER WITH A FIRE BALL AND HIT HIM...

On Another topic of the mechanics of fog type spells that block vision.

Lets get it STRAIT there is no reason that a mist or fog should STOP CHARACTERS FROM SHOOTING THREW THEM.
A mist or a fog does not prevent projectiles.
So you should make the game more realistic. These fog and mist type spells should block vision but the fireball or projectiles should STILL pass threw them.
Thus people should be able to be concealed by them but it should not be a shield stopping things from flying in there. Which it essentially does because you cannot shoot a fireball into the fog or smokey mist.

Yeah its quite bad. My guy will say " out of range/object blocking/out of sight" while being 3 feet away from the stairs trying to target an enemy at the bottom. Yet enemies seem to shoot arrows and spells at me through walls and from massive distances.

Yeah I was just doing this quest earlier and I was getting fireballed from the bottom floor through the floor and the walls. I had people "catching" me stealing through the floor. One guy in the second floor made an opportunity attack on me when I ran over him on the third floor.

It was REALLY buggy.

... you do know that AOE attacks are the CLASSIC response to not being able to see your enemy to target them directly... right?

But fogs, darkness etc will always block spells like fireball from hitting things BEYOND them because they need to be able to see a place to cast AT a place. That may not be 5e RAW.. it is possible to be interpreted as such however, with things like fog or darkness being considered "total cover".

So a point can be made for both sides.

In this case the "DM" has ruled you cant cast it there of you cannot see there. that area however is indeed buggy... and I suggest filing a bug report with the save from that area, detailing the issue. they have mostly fixed this problem... but obviously some areas might have been missed.

Steam, however, is certainly not the place to bring this to Larian's attention. That is like complaining at Cole's bookstore about a Rowling book.
Take it to the ones who published it, not their distributor.

They are literally casting spells through the floor and through walls.

Pretty sure fireball can't go directly through a solid wall and hit things on the other side.

The game becomes unplayable by act 3. Had forgotten how much time Larian Studio games need to be patched before being playable.
