Weapon bug?

My sorcerer paladin has a short sword that deals 3-15 damage (short sword of first blood)....however, the main hand action displays a damage of 2-7.

I don't understand this.

"Break the Unbroken: Deals an additional 1d8 Piercing damage to targets that still have all their Hit Points."

So it will show 2-7. The bonus, if applicable, takes it to 3-15.

1d8 is conditional, meaning there has to be a condition that is met before it applies that 1d8, the weapon still displays the damage as if the condition is met.

I don't know if my sorcerer paladin should use this weapon or Astarion...who currently has the Drow weapon you find in the Underdark, Excalibur-style...but he uses his bow most of the time.
