SPOILER: Illithid or No?

I'm upset that (spoiler) in order to achieve the good Illithid powers, the game forces your character to become unbearably ugly. I just can't stand the idea of another 50-100 hours of gameplay looking at a horribly disfigured protagonist.(spoiler) Unless there's a fix besides casting Seeming every day?

All power has a sacrifice. Since the Mind Flayer powers are hardly needed... it REALLY isnt a big deal...

to get the good illithid powers you only need to get the black veins..its barely any noticeable on most characters. you can only go full illithid at the very end, 15 minutes before finishing the game basically.

Why people say Illithids are ugly.
At least in this game they arent.
Same as the goblins who shoud be ugly.

As for becoming Illithid.
You dont become a full one for long and the half one just give you a cracked face.
Honestly with how ugly all elf faces are i didnt even notice the difference.

The question is this:
Are you planing to go full Illithid?
If no and your face matters to you then dont do it.
The powers are neat but nowhere nearly as good as a wizard, cleric or druid spelllist.

If you want the powers, go for it. There are no repercussions for using it.
