Ran out of Lockpicks?

So.. I'm in the city. And I can't find any lockpicks. I guess I tried too hard on too many tough locks? And now I'm just ♥♥♥♥ out of luck? I haven't found a vendor that sells them.
I can't get into Mystic Carrion's place to talk to them...
I guess I can respec one of my characters and take Knock. But I also used all/can't find any of those scrolls to teach to Gale. So.. I guess I'm looking for a way to not "cheat" to get some lockpicking action? There's still a lot of game left for me (I think), and no lockpicking is gonna be tough.

Going to Lady Jannath's place you "can" learn how to enter Mystic Cambions place.

A lot of locks you can just bash. If you are using a low DEX person, and did not get the ring and chest armor or gloves from ACT 1, better to bash everything you can to avoid risking losing lockpicks .. especially any wooden doors.

There are lockpicks all over in the game, so maybe you have not been searching all the rooms you have been in well enough.

Some vendors will sell them but I could not tell you which ones. If you find a vendor that sells them, check back after each time you rest or level up as they will normally restock at those times.

No kidding. I've been lockpicking like made and I have 25 lockpicks in my bag still. I'm deep in act 3. You should purchase or pickup every kit you find.

Pro tip: Many doors and chests open to a sledgehammer as willingly as to a lockpick.

When in doubt, most things open after they burn to the ground.... have you tried smokepower bombs?

I don't remember if any of the always-there Act 3 merchants sell lockpicks but if you "fail" the Stop the Presses quest and you get some negative publicity there will be a new merchant(not marked on the map/minimap) that's hanging around just outside the herbs shop in the central square who will be selling lockpicks and trap disarm kits

There's a street vendor in Wyrm's Crossing who may give you a look at some to buy. Not sure if she requires a Rogue in the group or not. Says she's selling 'tools'.

The tool vendor outside the Harper hideout just south of Wyrmrock sells them.

I explored lady jannath's pretty thoroughly (I thought) and despite that I am usually a very thorough searcher so I don't think it's a lack of finding lockpicks...As far as the way into mystic cambion's I suspect I'll have to come across that on another play through :<
I have done about 2.5% bashing. I have a very low strength group. I'm a druid of the land, I run with shadowheart (decent str, I guess), a friend's character that's a bard (my lockpicker), and usually wyll.
Just recently I started taking karlach instead of wyll, and she has been good at that. I guess I never imagined between A1-A2 where I was overflowing with lockpicks that I would ever run out.

I don't think i've even gotten the stop the presses quest...

Quicksave is your friend. Especially if you don't have a good Rogue specialized for this sort of thing.

Yeah... I try not to reload unless something really critical happens. But maybe I'll do that once I have a few lockpicks and want to preserve them.

Be sure the ONLY one to try it is your best lock-picker an DO use any buff casts that are available. Even if it looks like you have a sure thing! :)
