Yes, you can run the game from the *.exe file (can bind to Steam as a non-Steam game to use Steam Overlay).

Nope. You can skip the Steam launcher but not their own.

Yes:
1. Right click on the game in your library.
2. Select "Properties."
3. Go to "Launch Options."
4. Add "--skip-launcher" (without the quotes)
5. Launch the game.

After that, it should bypass the launcher; if you ever want the launcher again, just remove the "--skip-launcher" from the Launch Options.

Cool, thanks, i had added " -skip-launcher " but it didn't work.

Thanks, I don't need the Steam overlay. Will it be smoother if i launch it through the .exe ?

Probably slightly faster than through Steam (it should skip cloud sync and such).
