[macOS] How to Request a Refund
Larian will only pay attention to macOS users if we take our money back, so follow the following steps:

How to request a refund:

1. Go to https://help.steampowered.com
2. Select Baldur's Gate 3
3. Select "It's not what I expected"
4. Select Request a Refund
5. Select relevant issue, or "Issue is Not Listed"
6. Write that Larian still has not released Baldur's Gate 3 for macOS, you have only been playing a demo of the game, and there still is not an official release date in spite of the game appearing as fully supported for mac on Steam.

Note: You have to do this separately for the DLC.

You can buy the game again if and when it comes out for macOS.

I mean to be honest I don't know why would you bother. It is coming later this month and as Mr Desrtfox071 pointed out in his answer, I don't think refunding the game will change anything. Refunding the game will not make it come out faster, won't make them lose money because you already know you are buying it back on full release, and it doesn't change their scummy steam mac selling tactics because let's be honest they have sold wayyyyy more copies than they ever expected by now.
And I think refunding and buying back at full release might lose you something. EA versions of the game on windows recieved a free upgrade to the DLC, which I assume when the finally release on Mac they will do the same.

lol refunding the game isnt going to accomplish anything.

I have a better idea. Go online and order a PC.

While I am a PC gamer, and don't really see Mac as a viable gaming platform for myself, I don't understand why PC gamer's are butthurt over this thread. If Larian and Steam had represented this game fully released on PC and it wasn't, we would be doing the same thing -- and for good reason.

Where has Larian represented the game as fully released on MacOS?

It's only fair.

It's actually kind of hilarious that the game is now been released on PS5 before the Mac release lol

IT make sense. Mac is just an afterthought as gaming market. It's basically a little bit of chump change as an extra for more work.

PS5 is a significant market for gaming, way more relevant than Mac. That's why Larian cares about PS5 and forgot that they even promised to support Mac.

Larian said later this month.

Way to set a sign towards everyone, that no one should ever offer games for macOS if the macOS community is like this.

Where has Larian represented the game as fully released on MacOS?

The issue here is that Larian didn't say it wasn't releasing on MacOS until the day it launched for PC. To further the frustration, Steam is still advertising it as available for PC and MacOS. The only way for a Mac user who doesn't already own the Early Access version to know that it's not available yet is to (aside from the obvious don't trust Steam and look into discussions/posts from Larian and the BG3 community) purchase the game, install it, load the launch screen only to find that "we are targeting early September for MacOS. Exact date tbd" message.

The person you are responding to is correct. PC users would be righteously indignant over this sort of behavior, and PC users would be sending a message to Larian by uninstalling and refunding. Because PC users make up a large number of BG3 gamers, that message would be received.

Now, while I am a Mac user (I played most of my Early Access saves on PC before the PC took a dump) I'm not going to run and refund my game over this, and I don't recommend it. We aren't a large gaming market, and Larian doesn't care about the (as someone said in another post) the six of us refunding the game. It won't send the same message, and we would be missing out on the free DLC if we already purchased Early Access versions.

I do, however, feel we have a right to be upset. PC gamers being butthurt about...us being butthurt...is, uhm, stupid. Just enjoy your game, PC users. :)

But it would matter, because it's not dozens of mac owners whining. It's ok there are plenty of exclusive Mac games we have to wait for.....
