Convince me to side with the goblins?
I am trying to do an evil playthrought but i cannot find any justification why i would side with vermin.
So can anyone give me a reason why i shoud join with the vermin.
As i can find no arguement in game to even consider it.
Outside of the meta knowledge about getting a drow companion that way.

You're looking for an RP "path" to get you there? Let's see...

So you - mostly self-serving neutral adventurer - just escaped captivity and all of your allies are kind of shady if not outright dangerous. But multiple of them agree that the things in your head should've killed you by now. But they haven't.

You happen upon the druid grove and kind of stumble into a goblin attack. You help because they attack you but they are just stupid goblins, nothing to really bother you. Trough your help you gain entry to the grove.

You ask around for a healer (the problems of the Tieflings and the druids aren't your problem so when people bring it up you're just vague with them and make no promises). You are drawn by a commotion: A Tiefling is threatening to shoot a goblin prisoner.
You make it clear to her that killing prisoners is stupid and as she leaves, the goblin starts talking your ear off about their big-powerful Absolute (you don't even have to help Sazza, just talking gives you the lead on the priestess that could help with the tadpole) and tells you about the goblin camp.

You move on and find a druid healer. You are sincere about your problem, hoping for help from these people that are known as passionate healers. But the druid refuses to help and urges you to off yourself with poison! You refuse, of course, and she takes it upon herself to try and kill you. You defend yourself and hide her body in the library - there's no way the current druid-leader will let you walk, she offed a little girl for stealing when you walked in. You leave the grove hastily.

From there, the only option you have left is to try and get into the goblin camp.

On your way there, you meet a few gobbos who seem to treat you with respect - reverence even. And not only them: You also meet a dwarf and some humans - civilized folk - who treat you the same. They seem to have trown in with this "Absolute" as well. Maybe you can use these idiots to help yourself.

... That would be a possible justification to not treat the goblin camp as enemies immidiatly. You can also sneak in to meet the priestess. From there, you'd have to suspend disbelieve a bit depending on how convincing you think Minthara is.

Have fun!

Most would probably say for the fastest romance scene with Minthara...

Otherwise ~ because one loves to see the world burning.

... besides that, just because something is possible doesn't mean you have to do it. Goblins are real scum so I wouldn't bother siding with them either unless it's for some mad rp reasons.

The reason the game gives you is that siding with them will ensure your infiltration into to inner circle of the cult, helping you with the tadpole problem faster and more effectively than any other way.

Yeah exactly.

You're even told you should side with the goblins to ensure the cult trusts you.

If you think the goblins are icky and don't like them, siding with them doesn't necessarily end up all that poorly. Also, Minthara.

You get to destroy and loot the grove using goblins as arrow-fodder.

Your character is afraid the goblins are too powerful

Minthara is more interesting than Halsin.

Sadly no sazza romance for either.
