Voss's Silver Sword in Act1

Can you no longer use disarming ranged attack to get Voss's Silver sword in Act 1 up at the Mountain Pass? Everytime I get a successful disarm, it keeps dropping his crossbow.

im just now thoroughly looking at him and he only has a crossbow on his back, should he have his sword on his back?

On a new save, Voss only drops a crossbow for me. Crossbow is shown on his back, too. Old save shows the sword. Potentially patched on new saves due to the spoiler dialogue?

loaded an old save. he still there in with his sword in the current patch.
save was from the 28/8/23

interesting. i got it in patch 2. i guess they changed it with hotfix #5

makes sense. it does break a lot of dialogues lol

i technically made this save like 2 weeks ago but just didnt pick it up until i beat my first playthrough which happened a few days ago. im wondering if they just straight up patched it cause that sword was too OP for the early game.

i technically made this save like 2 weeks ago but just didnt pick it up until i beat my first playthrough which happened a few days ago. im wondering if they just straight up patched it cause that sword was too OP for the early game.

I got it about 12 hours ago.

you notice if he had the sword on his back or his crossbow?

guess its not fixed then :D
maybe load a save a bit earlier and re-initiate the dragon flying over and reset the Gyth completley

Has anyone done it while he's wielding a crossbow but still getting the sword?

I don't think its patched but mine has crossbow equipped also this time (it's my 5th solo run). When I did this 2 days ago with my friend playing multi and I was able to get the sword.
