What happens to items on a dead party member?

I don't want to spoil anything but a certain character died from a choice I made and now I'm wondering where all the loot I had on them went. They didn't die anywhere I can find the body./

It says on the body. You can use Withers to ressurect them for 200 gold and they will have everything on them.

Body will be in the specific camp where they died, as far as I'm aware deaths that occur outside of camp due to dialogue choices will put a backpack in your inventory that have all the items.
