longer story: people have major problems reconizing patterns outside of the obvious ones and it gives you an obvious bias.
I've always just left it off, and sometimes the rolls suck and sometimes they're great. That's how it should be.
I get it if people feel they want to save scum for certain dialogue choices or in certain spots where missing a couple checks means losing out on something important, but save-scumming is never required or needed in combat.
With all due respect, I think it's much more likely that you've developed a negative bias because of some of your experiences. It's understandable, but unless you can back up the claim with hard data, there is no reason to assume that Larian intentionally made the game frustrating for kicks and giggles.
did tc forget how angle brackets work or am I missing something?
typos happen.
i'll allow it.
Have you got a favourite streamer or Youtuber who has, who you could link for me to watch? Or perhaps you could download OBS and record some of your own experiences to share?
My game experience : low rolls and criticals failure are for me, high rolls and critical success are for the AI unless unless i savescum and the positin are switched.
I won't say it's rigged, i will say the algorithm or it's implementation in this game is ♥♥♥♥. This the only bad things abou this game, but it's really bad and kill all the fun of what could have been a GOTY
Bringing along a Portent Wizard was a mistake, constant interruptions asking along the lines of "Guard needs 25 to hit Minthara. They rolled a 30."
Gets tiresome after a while. I guess that's either a Tactician thing, or the game buffs those guards as punishment for me meting out my own form of justice on every dumb NPC that gets in the way of my adventuring.
Either way I don't play with Karmic Dice on because it sounds kinda lame, as much as missing six attacks from a Fighter in a row against a 70% target sucks, lol.
