Add the ability to wake up knocked out npcs????

I'm sorry, but aside from roleplay purposes (pacifism and what not) there is 0 reason to knock out most if not all npcs in this game, and that is genuinely stupid. I've had nothing but good things to say about this game until tonight.

Basically, I went to knock out some friendlies that randomly turned hostile on us, including one that was linked to a quest we had to find the guy. My thought process was "Hey, if we just knock them out, we can wake them up and talk to them."

NOPE. They're as good as dead while they're unconscious, at least thats what every google result i found said leading up to post launch. Are you serious Larian? Literally an illusion of choice, if i cant wake them up and speak to them after knocking them out, and they despawn after a long rest, why the ♥♥♥♥ do I bother not just murdering them??? Add an option to wake people up, reward people for pacifism.

Literally the only annoyance i've had with this game but its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ massive and im extremely pissed we basically killed the character I was trying to save for the quest. For shame.

I came across a knocked out gnome one time and I healed him and he got right back up and talked to me. Have you tried that?

There's at least one npc it is really good to knock out, and damnit she's going to have my baby some day!

Hi; if i remember correctly this was false; they did despawn. At the very least the npcs in particular that I intended to spare did.

I believe we did try healing. Perhaps this particular enouncter is just programmed to not allow you to spare them or something, i'm not entirely certain. it's been long enough that my memory is a bit hazy.
