Just curious Anybody know what the brain jars in the steel foundry do? (spoilers dont look if you dont want to see any)
i know there is the interaction which i didnt roll great on. But you can destroy them too. Do they shut down some watchers if you arent able to shut down the whole foundry (i did blow it up thats why im curious).

I'm looking for the answer to this as well, toobin loses respect for you if you break them, so I don't know if that means anything.

You can interact with them and get some info on what the Steel Watch is doing and can try to take control of a couple Steel Watchers to stop them from actions they are taking off screen - no cutscenes to see , but otherwise I did not notice anything special with them.

I generally destroy all the jars out of spite, but never done it while Toobin was watching so no clue about his reaction. Would seem odd he dislikes it though.

Destroyed the brain jars with Toobin and he could have cared less. No unique dialogue.

It doesn't matter what you do to them.

The brain jars are just meant to be kind of a dark commentary on the fact that the steel watch is (in fact) humans/other species that have been killed by Gortash and made into robotic slaves to do his bidding.

I don't know if they actually shut down individual steel watch, though. I doubt it. The steelwatch you see in Baldur's gate are just random NPCs that probably aren't actually linked to the brains.
