How does respec'ing handle ascribed scrolls?
Just wondering what happens if I were to respec Gale (or any wizard)
Does it wipe any & all learned spells in yer spellbook when you do so?
What about if you spec out of wizard completely?

Just wondering if I should hold off on learning my scrolls until I have a better idea of how I want to level him :partyboo:

You keep all the spells you transcribed.

Yes but you can't do anything at all with them without a single level of wizard.

They stay there anyway, and will be there if you ever pick up that wizard level

So I can start my character as a wizard, scribe several wizard scrolls, then respec into a cleric and still have the wizard spells available to my cleric?

Makes sense. Thanks.

I have done this a number of times and each time I have respecced I have retained any scrolls if have learned. I tend to take the spells at level up that I know are rare or non-existent in scroll form which makes it a lot more efficient.

No, only when you are wizard. So, if you respec your wizard into a cleric then back to wizard the game remembers any scrolls you learned as a wizard, but you don’t get those spells to use as any other class.

I think it might interfere oddly with sorcerer. 1 level of wizard will let you access wizard/sorcerer spells up to your sorcerer level when picking from spell preparation foe the wizard and cast them with your sorcerer spells slots

I could be wrong on this though

Also cost efficient to learn spells that are not from your chosen school of magic, when leveling up
