Oh, for more situations its a dice roll. This is one of the first fights I do before I long rest. Basically i want to do the crypt, do the first attack on the grove, kill the bugbear, fight the harpies, fight the goblins hiding in the path to the grove, kill the owlbear, kill the goblin ambush and if I have enough resources Kill the Ogres or go kill the first little pack of gnolls before I take a long rest.
Harpies are so early in that run and the only fight of those that can go horribly wrong and I don't want to be spending more than 2 second level spell slots if I can help it and I only want to do 1 short rest at this point so that fight tests my patience.
No, no you didn't.
One turn, two characters.
Had a member up at the top of the elevator. Eldridge knight with a bound light hammer (my Thor build). 2 attack, action surge; and haste. Thor did 408/450 damage. Karlach just finished him off with her maul
I’m curious if a few lucky roles and a crit or two might be able to solo him lol
He spanked my Thor build and tempest cleric hard because they were built around lightning damage lol
Goblin bosses. Kill each of them separately. Razglin may be an issue because of his many adds, but this can be solved by using a stealth character with a bow to snipe his adds from the wooden beams above the throne room, until he's alone, and then he's a joke.
The Hag. Use an invisibility potion to go all the way around and use the lever that releases Mayrina's cage. Use Magic Missile or any damaging spell that can be cast at multiple targets, because The Hag's mirror images have 1 HP, so they are really vulnerable to those things. When she turns into Mayrina to trick you, note that the real Mayrina is level 1, while the Hag is level 5, so go after the level 5.
Balthazar. I dunno, just faceroll him. He was never a problem.
Ketheric Thorm's antourage. Don't fight them. Go outside the castle, to the left, climb up the vine, and jump on the platforms. You will reach Ketheric Thorm himself, and he's a joke in his human form.
Ketheric Thorm as Apostle of Death. Rush to Nightsong, release her, cast Bless on her, and now kill that ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying Mindflayer while she solos the boss. Stay off the platform and don't go up to attack him until he's almost dead. Let Nightsong handle him.
That mindflayer killed himself when he attacked my tempest cleric. The lightning reaction knocked him back and down into abyss he fell lol
You can also track the hag if you wet her. (I like lightning) but she stays wet when she attempts to hide behind her illusions
Also asking Vlaakith why she can't kill the being in the prisma herself was also tough (not to say impossible :P )
