Gift Giving? How To?
I'm feeling a bit lost because I have found a few items I believe my companions would like and I have read on one single post in the wiki that you can give gifts but I dont know how.
Is there a specific mechanic for this? Is it as simple as adding the item to the companions inventory? Has anyone else done this?

Where did you read that? There are only a few examples of this in the game and they are scripted, specifically in reference to Shaodwheart liking a specific flower and the necromancy of Thay can be given to Gale or Astarion but those aren't really gifts in the same sense.

There's at least one other "hidden" one where you can give SH again an Idol of Shar you can find in Act 1. Just gains you some approval and a thank you line. Tried it again with the Idol of Selune in Act 3, no option for that.
The only gift giving is when Gale comes to you at night and there's nothing you'll be able to do. You'll receive his gift hard.
You can only gift Shadowheart 2 items: an idol of Shar you find in Grymforce and the night orchid you find in shadowlands. As for others I have no idea, I wanted to gift Karlach an olwbear toy but alas no dice.
If something they want they’ll be a prompt in a convo, otherwise is no gift giving system like dragon age had iirc

She has Clive though, she doesn't need your toys.
