NPC with trader icon arent actually traders?
It happened several times now. First with Volo who despite being marked as a trader never gave me option in Druid Sanctum to trade with him (and instead kept strawmaning the poor bear lol) and now in Underdark with Baelen who also has the trader icon but i dont get ANY option to trade with him.

Am i missing something or game just has kinda retarded markers?

in the bottom left is a trade function, which if they are an actual merchant (volo is for sure, i dont remember the other guy by name)

the only non merchant i know is withers, who also has the mark

Some of them will show up as merchants based on where you're at the story, but not actually be traders until later on.

I think just about everyone who has a dialogue response option in the game can be traded with, there's a little hand icon on the bottom left of the screen when it shows you a prompt to choose a dialogue option.

Oh ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, why they had to make it so unintuitive. Some traders trade through dialog, some through button. Ah gods...

Dwarf doesnt have anything, not even gold anyway. Wonder why is he marked as trader...

they all should trade through dialogue once you actually get through their dialogue, some are just related to story and prioritize that first.

you shouldn't ever *have* to hit that button, but if you dont wanna talk and dont see the option, its there.
