Explain to me why people like Karlach?

An annoying upbeat Zoomer who looks like a demon. She is the worst, her background and story makes zero sense, she does not vibe with the game's tone, and she talks like an Instagram Influencer.

Why do people like her?

OP has clearly:
A: Never seen her dance when the party is idle; and
B: Forgets that Karlach was a soldier that LITERALLY fought in Hell for years. Talk to anyone that spends any time in a military outfit and you'll find a Karlach.

I completely agree that she doesn't vibe with the game's tone. She's a bright spot in Tav's rather bleak life.

She has a heart of a puppy and is overall very positive person.

And tells what she feels like without wrapping it with nice words.

You can re-spec Karlach into a Fighter and she would be just as effective as Lae'zel.

Karlach was in literal hell and is enjoying her life being free. She went from being a murder machine to deciding her own fate and she is relishing that fact. And all she wants is a friend and being to touch.

Because she is a tom boy and she is very good in Combat, her ending does need to be fixed.

I do not like Karlach.
However, I understand her appeal and know people like my cousin would love her.

She's modern, chaotic, punk, and has the trope 'devil with a heart of gold.'

To all those freaks out there who hate the system but what to do good/redeem themselves, She's a posterchild.

Don't get why you hate her so much as to come around asking about it but simply put she's not an edgelord, not a ♥♥♥♥♥ who's constantly cruel to you, one of the few upbeat and positive characters and she's straight forwards, no games, no secrets etc.

Also how does her story not make sense? Made perfect sense to me.
