It's cool how the bodies stay practically forever.
I know corpses should be cleaned up eventually, but having them vanish literally in front of you has always been an illusion breaker for me. In this game they hang around a looooong time, even if you jump to a new area and come back. By the time they do go away, it's been a long enough time that they could've been naturally carried off by scavengers. Heck, even the blood stays. Other devs should take note.

Just yet another way the devs prove they are masters of illusion.

It would be a nice touch to have decaying corpses and clouds of flies left in your wake. The longer the dead go unclaimed or un-scavenged the more dense the cloud of flies and the more powerful the stench bad enough that you can take damage. Also a cool dynamic would be where if you get too close to these horrible corpses you have to take a saving throw for nausea due to the horrific stench being emitted :WH3_arsebelcher:

I also thought about having a bit of decay happen, but a bit slower than you are suggesting. Maybe if you came back to a corpse DAYS in game time after it died yes. It would be really nifty if corpse removal took place but the end product was just a stripped skeleton. I noticed a lot of skeletons around the monastery that had been there far longer than any dead thing I left behind.

it's even more awesome you can store all of them in a box

I was amazed the dev team made separate character models for every single creature in the Underdark. Fun seeing all their 'shroomed versions.

What's funny about that is that the camp environ changes as you move into new areas. Your sadistic party members have literally been grabbing his corpse and flopping it down in every new place you've camped..

Might want to have a little discussion with them..?
