"Something over there"
I like so much about this game, but I am getting really sick of a character passing a perception check and saying that there's "Something over there" but who knows what they are talking about.

Early in the game, there seemed to always be a white beam of light or a mound of dirt, but now?

If one of the characters saw something, it ought to be clear what. I mean, your companions aren't saying "I see something, but I bet you can't find it."

If you have gotten your doggo yet then he can point you to it.

Good to know thanks.

And I agree OP. Most of the time this has worked fine for me. Like when someone detects a trap or as you said a dirt mound, button etc. But a couple of times I've had the dialogue and looked everywhere but found nothing.

Huh. I must be missing something. I have the pup back at camp (and the owlbear cub) but have not noticed any way to bring them on my travels. (Of course, I couldn't possibly live with it if they were to die in battle, so maybe a good thing?)

The hidden item should be highlighted when noticed by ay party meber.

@db - doggo can be called with a spell on your action bar.
