Any merchant gear you should not miss before the merchant disappears?
Many of the merchants will disappear after you 'complete' an area. Some have really nice stuff, like that horrible ♥♥♥♥♥ in the Myconid village with all the +2 armor. Are there other 'limited time' merchants that have really nice stuff to buy/steal?

goblin has 2 throwing based items that are great, the zeph have gloves that give advantage on all slight of hand rolls, druid grove also has a throwing ring, along with a few healing based items.

the hobgoblin in the underdark has various spellcasting items that are all fairly solid, but thats only a concern if your getting ready to go to act 3.

this is one of said goblin items

there is an excellent polearm in act 2in the tower but by that point you have a lot of choice weapon wise so it may not be worthwhile

There were some very rare items you could chance upon before leaving Act 1. I believe the creche has a merchant who solicits some peculiar items. The Zhentarim also have some eccentric items behind bars - their gated treasuries are worth a gander if you are something of a collector. If you have made an alliance with the goblins there is one who will stay behind in its ruined fortress after you receive the prompt to go on an excursion to some towers best viewed after the sun sets. He is a mercantile fellow and amiable enough with his remaining inventory that he will part with it in exchange for gold, but rather than paying for his things you could simply pick his pockets if you have companions that dabble in larceny - he is alone, so this naturally makes him the easiest merchant to steal from in the whole of Act 1.

For the Zhentarim Camp in Act 1, can I just kill them all w/ no consequences later? I opened the delivery and the woman just attacks me. Can you hold onto the box till you reach BG and deliver it personally?

The BIGGEST ones in my mind are there’s a ring you can buy from Volo, and Gloves you can buy from the tiefling leader in the grove.

I put them on Shadowheart, she literally used the ring for the entire game and the gloves Shadowheart used until I found gloves that were literally exactly the same only they gave her a free revivify cast in addition.

I forget which is which, but 1 makes it so anyone you heal gets Bless for 2 turns and the other makes anyone you heal get resistance to Bludg, Pierce, and Slash for 2 turns.

I like to use the arcane blessing staff (makes your bless do 2d4 and also apply to spell attacks) and I do Bonus action Mass Healing Word. It heals the whole party and gives the whole party 2d4 bless and B, P, S resistance. It’s an amazing combo

Steal all merchants, if it cannot be steal or too difficult, kill it.

Gloves of Underdog Bravery and Glove of Dexterity from the quartermaster in the Creche. Risky RIng from the Drow merchant in Moonrise. Every other item in the game is optional as far as I'm concerned.

It does not give 2d4 unfortunately, unless they 'fixed' it. Casting a heal for bless does not grant the additional spell hit either. you only get it from a regular bless. So the only thing that staff actually does is give a free bless spell and additional spell hit if you casted bless

There is a medium armor in act2 that does not restrict you dex to only a +2 to AC. If you've got 20 Dex with that armor it would give you +5AC an if i remember correctly the armor has 15 innate AC. Pretty good

IIRC you can deliver it personally.

If you don't make friends with the Zhent then you lose the option to summon them during the final battle, but you can get enough different allies that its not really an issue.

In act 1 you can buy the bless on heal ring "The Whispering Promise" from multiple(?) vendors. Along with it certain druid has a necklace "Broodmother's Revenge" which coats your weapons in 1-6 damage poison when healed. In act 3 you can buy "Ring of Regenation" that heals you every turn giving you both effects forever.
