Help! "Teachings of Loss: Nightsinger" is missing.

I remember going to the library and reading it, but if I picked it up then it would be in my inventory. But it's not there. I checked the traders (the merregon and the one in Emerald Grove) and they don't have it either.

I've literally wasted several hours trying to figure out what to do now.

There's nothing that would logically lead someone to place the book on the pedestal in the first place. Books are supposed to be read, and then lead to clues, etc.

You absolutely need that book. you cannot complete act 2 without it. I heard there is a mod you can get that lets you just add items you need to your game but i don't know much else about it. It is probably on nexus mods. Or your other choice is reload an earlier save.

Tried a couple different mods and couldn't find it unfortunately. I guess I'll have to reload.

I tried the spawn item mod but its readme does not contain the book's UUID that would be needed to spawn the book.

This is not a bug. THE BOOK IS DESTROYABLE. It is just a 2hp object. Load a save just before you first enter that library and WATCH YOUR FIRE; any AoE blasts at the Justiciar that is typically right next to that bookshelf can also destroy the book.
