Mayrina dying on her way out of Auntie Ethyl's lair
There needs to be something to protect departing NPCs. After saving Mayrina (and, unfortunately, deleting all the autosaves, because I thought I no longer needed them!), I discovered that she died on her way out of the lair, from a poison vent trap that I couldn't disarm (and why the hell are those DC 30 anyway??)

How did that happen? Did you follow her out the same way you came in?

Usually NPCs despawn once the start walking away from you after some distance.

They changed her pathing or something because instead of heading out the backdoor, which is significantly shorter, she tries to long walk to the entrance or something. You can kind of cheese it by just taking a long rest before she gets herself killed. She'll be waiting where she should be.

Well, she didn't just take a few steps and de-spawn. This time, she tried to walk all the way out. Apparently, she lingers in the zone for at least as long as you do, even though it takes time to grab the wand, and loot the back room.

Upon discovering this, I tried reloading one game, before the log updated, took a long rest at camp, and came back. She STILL turned up dead. The journal updates when you find her body.

Odd. On launch she went out the back door. Very strange thing to change? I wouldn't even know how she could escape the way you went if you broke the ladder. You could always grab some barrels and try block the poison but it's odd they would change her pathing like that after launch for... reasons...?

Yeah does get annoying remember had to reload several times when using explosions to free Nere. Since sometimes the Dwarfs that ran out right after the explosion. Caught on fire then died while they were running out. If anything would have been nice to be able to Revive some Npc's.
@Larry - I'd rather she just de-spawn like she should. That would seem the easiest solution. But what do I know?

@Simbolic - Yes, I had to do that one multiple times as well. If the first explosion didn't clear the rock, all the Duergar and Gnomes would go right back to their positions, and get caught in the second blast. Then you'd both fail the rescue quest, AND have the whole city be hostile toward you.
