Where is the mind flayer colony?

I am near the end of act 2 and looking for Zevlor. He should be in the mindflayer colony under the moontower. I found a 'jail' under the prison of the moontower, but no mindflayer colony. I can hear voices, but can't go there.

Do the first fight with Kethric first. That opens up the way to the mind flayer colony.

You can only get there from the very top of the tower, after you fought the act 2 main villain for the first time.

So I have to do the Nightsong stuff before? Otherwise I can't defeat Kethric on the top of the tower..

That's not the only option guys. If you got to jail by stealing something you will be able to jump to the mind player colony without a need to kill Kethric ;)

that puts you in a different part of it, the oubliette, it's disconnected from the rest of the colony but i think you can bug to clip through the wall and trick the game into thinking you're in that part of the story. you can also get sucked through the wall if you investigate the crack in the rafters to end up in oubliette.
