Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur's Gate 3

Imagine female Gale
Just a thought. Lets call her Galina.

She (if we only alter appearance and gender, and keep all other traits/backstory of Gale intact):
1) Is a powerful witch
2) Is casual about relatshionship be it romance or frienship, also bi
3) Overall cheerful personality, + the usual Chaotic Neutral frolics
4) Posh thiccc pale-dirt-blonde colored hair
5) Is a rich self-made person out of Waterdeep
6) Experienced wizard with dozens of magicka stories from her travels to share
7) Kinda valued amoung top mages of the cost even knows Elmisnter himself
8) Courted a goddess once (Yuri ahoi!)
9) Has dark curse and a looming duty to fullfill
10) Witty comments & gets along well with most of the crew

Imagine how big of a better chracter she would be! A totally favorite char for both good & evil parties. Literally top girl, who would need Minthara Karlach or Shadowheart in that case!

While male Gale is just "yet another posh stereotypical hairsaloon boy". (imo)

You should try meeting a woman in real life. You might learn a few things

You must have an extremely depressing life if every woman you meet treats you like trash the way Shadowheart treats you like trash.

*Picks up idol of selune* Shadowheart: why are you wasting your bag space with that paperweight?

Yep, still being an unnecessary ♥♥♥♥♥
Or I'm a woman. And have family and friends. Something I don't think you've managed.
Larian are allergic to women in spellcaster roles, so this would be difficult.

Clearly not, because Shadowheart exists.

Edit: Not to mention Lohse's default 'class' in DOSII is a spellcaster.

That's just 2. But yeah, it's nice we got them.

Yeha, it's not like Karlach dabbles in WIld Magic or anything when using that as her Barbarian subclass. Or Lae'zel dosn't use magic as an Eldritch Knight. Or Minthara being a Paladin, they don't use magic either, as we all know.

I was talking about base classes. Lmao at you trying to paint barbarian and fighter as fitting the general criteria for "spellcaster" though. That's cute.
The Gale gal Galina

Some people (you know the ones) would've thrown an even bigger fit about the game if Mystra's chosen one and one of the greatest wizards of all time was a woman.

So yeah, let's do it.

Mystra's chosen was a woman originally. It was a child of Ellistrae's flock, a Drow girl that was stillborn, and Ellistrae and Mystra used their combined powers to instill within the child a Chosen of their combined powers. This canon has since been re-written, but yeah, it originally was female.
just make him be transformed as a woman
I actually think Gale would've been the perfect companion to have shapeshifting incorporated into his storyline. You can transform him as others have already mentioned, but a character that's willing to /permanently/ shapeshift for a love interest would be interesting. Although to be fair, it's already somewhat of a common theme when considering Halsin's bear, the Shifters in Baldur's Gate, and Raphael's boytoy. Maybe the writing team thought it was common enough.

Just give Gale the Mask of the shapeshifter and turn him into whatever you want whenever you feel.
