multiplayer character won't follow bg3

when the other player isn't around the character that was made by them won't follow any other character now that there no around for some reason.
other characters will follow it, but it won't follow others.
it worked before but now it dosn't for no reason.

is this a bug?.
how do you fix it?

Press escape -> multiplayer, assign it back to your slot? All i can think of

i have come across this issue. it generally occurs if i have to send one of the multiplayer characters back to camp and then re summon them.

Just ran into this as well. I wonder if it’s a glitch from the update where you can now dismiss them. Maybe it broke this part?

Yeah more spaghetti code. It can happen if you dismiss custom character outside of camp (can be more triggers too). Afaik the only fix outside of reloading game before bug is using certain mods which let you recreate custom chars.
