Save Maryna quest spoilers)
What could have been a really great quest turned out to be an idiotic thing where you leave this obviously delussional Maryna with a zombie husband in some sort of agony or ..well just nothing ..The fun part is that she is mentioning that giving Conner a proper burial would be a good thing but that action is somehow not even possible , so you have the choice of going on with Larians idea of a joke that is letting her leave with a Zombie husband to BG or just let her do nothing but be in agony .. What happened to the real good deed here ? Bury him ?

Are you sure there weren't other options that you just didn't see? If I remember, I think I had 3 or 4 possible outcomes (I chose to re-animate and let her leave with her husband to find her own solution.) But I could have kept the zombie for myself, or left him buried, or broken the wand, or none of the above by not offering to revive in the first place. (probably the best action.)

Anyway, I'm not convinced she deserves much of a happy ending. She was ready to give away her baby to be eaten (did she know that? I forget) in exchange for getting her husband back, and pretty much everything we see from her is irrational and/or selfish.

edit - at least, til later in the game.)

There is only one way to finish the quest , and that is to use the wand the other alternatives doesn't really do anything and she even comes to here sences by saying that he deserves a proper burial but that option isn't doable , even If she's an idiot the man deserves a proper burial

Well , waking her dead husband with the wand is some kind of sick joke , the other alternative is almost as terrible , leave her t moan at the corpse ..It's just terrible !!
She also has a significant quest in Act 3, so you still have a lot more to see.

The husband becomes useful in act 3, let her have it.

I don't want to see her, she's a stupid girl but I did want to bury her husband thou, but the game didn't let me do that

Believe me, you want to find her and the quest. Or did you think that was the last you saw of Ethel?

No, I really don't want to meet that miserable hag or that dellusional girl again !! I want a way to properly end the quest and that would have been giving Conner , Maryna's husband a proper burial and I can't do that because LARIAN did NOT include that obvious detail even thou the girl begs for it !
You dont need to complete the quest to get the Hag quest in Act 3.
I myself, being who I am, have killed that witch (the girl I mean, and I dont mean witch actually) almost all the time. It is just like Astarion, and Gale.

I am not a fan when fantasy games drink from things like Twilight, Harry Potter, etc. It is like "comic relief". Either a game doesnt need it, or the game works because doesnt have it.

Anyway, the quest is stupid and a waste of time.

She had no knowledge that the have wanted to eat her baby and turn it into a hag, she was told that her daughter would "have a good life and be taught how to use magic, thus be better off than she ever would be than being raised by a useless woman like her".

It's very clear that the woman, in her grief, came to the hag seeking help, and the hag very quickly psychologically abuses her to 'convince' her to agree. In act 3 she's far better, after having come to her senses and rediscovering her back home.

A kid and her mother's blood will be on your hands then (it's not Mayrina).
Okey ..let me say this again ..I just wanted to give her husband a proper burial but that isnt possible , instead you have 2 options wake up the husband to live as a zombie or snap the wand wich makes her raging out of there. I mean yeah I have understood that there is more on this in BG but If you just want to be good the best you can do is break the wand and leave her miserable..right now I dont really care what happens later

I ended up letting her have her zombie husband, mostly because I felt guilty about the fact that I kinda sorta ended up killing her brothers earlier, even if I successfully blamed it on the hag :steamhappy:

To be fair, there's no option to bury the guy, because she wants to take his body out of there first.

But the quest could use a clear "don't tell her about the wand" option, with maybe added a book/note near the wand that hints that the wand is gonna bring back a zombie.
