I want to say that the factory part is probably one of the most unbalanced sections in game.
I have no idea how your suppose to even complete quest to save them all, i mean there out number like 5 to 1 plus the steel watch that auto blows up.
and there no way to sneak past sense they auto put you into combat.
then there AI all salves just like to auto run to there own deaths.
in two of my retrys blind guy ran into the steel watch that where going blow up.
they should at least put code some where as a note or letter in the factory some where so you don't need that blind dude.
who ever designed this level and mission was asshat might not been so bad if the AI was not so horrible in this game.
You can cast the invincibility dome on him before the fight starts or clear out lower factory and then go back to get him, thats how I did it in the end. I killed all watchers and guards, gnomes died except the blind guy, i then took him down to the terminal.
You control the blind guy. Throw sanctuary on him and keep him out of the battle?
If you saved Wilburn he will give you a heavy rune bomb and you can just enter, place the bomb and run away,
part of quest is to save other gnomes also i am not going redo fight for the 7th time i am pretty much done with it.
its unbalanced, I mean whole game is unbalanced ether its in favor of the player where you steam roll things or its in favor of the enemy badly. there no middle ground maybe if they allowed you have two more party members like all other DND games allow six this be more possible to do but not with just 4 chars special not for this mission.
well then trying to complete quest as a whole is impossible, why even make it a quest goal.
I did pretty good I stumped all guys except for the two steel watch ether the slaves run to to get blow up buy or they run into them to blow near the slaves.
seems to be set to do that.
the blind gnome survives if you just kill all the guards without having them revolt
There is also bomb to blow the place up if you worked with the underdark gnomes and found their base in Rivington. I have not tried that way, but I think it will work to blow the place up. (I ended up keeping the bomb and using it on something else)
There might be another way involving the switchboard, but I did not find the parts. Or instructions for the workbench, where you can combine 4 items. Someone posted that the required item is on a dead gnome, but I drew a blank there.
The bomb from act 2 sounds kinda a possible solution too, but I did not get the barrel to try it out.
