What guardian? The one that's just in a random room filled with corpses? I just killed it immediately as the game said that it was a non sentient spell. Was it actually a character?
Oh, it didn’t. After I killed the Gith the Guardian was like ‘You finally saw reason’ No, my friend, I didn’t see reason. They just tried to chop off my head. 😂
The Guardian you create in the intro. If you haven’t been to the Githyanki Creche it’s spoilers.
Yes, it’s my PC that’s a Cleric. I thought he would be into trusting clearly evil powerful entities so I went with her advice.
Ah that one. Yes I tried to kill it as the game gives you no reason to trust it and many reasons to suspect it is acting against you. Annoyingly the only dialogue option that allows you to do it presents it as if you were doing it because you were afraid of the githyanki, which deeply annoyed me.
And then it cheats you out of the kill anyway.
Although in light of later revelations you have a point :)
Yup, big time. Though I’ve heard it’s possible to kill it later. With unfortunate results.
Interesting. What character are you playing?
For good or not, a shrewd or highly intelligent character can choose to do Vlaakith's bidding as for that once at least, out of not trusting the guardian and their half truths.
Then I entered the prism and when the guardian asked me if I was going to kill her, I think my answer was literally "nah". Not what you were looking for, I know.
I was playing a CN drow leaning towards evil and I wouldn't do Vlaakith's just because I didn't feel like it, but also cause we already had found evidence that she was a big, fat phony.
Yup, for once as you put it. After that the evidence kinda points to she’s-trying-to-murder-you. Didn’t really get why though. Could have been interesting to work for her.
Probably not. I’m playing a low wisdom cleric :)
