Bug? Approval system.

I am going by a guide for an approval rating for Astarion, but it seems like on my screen multiple people can't increase their approval rating. So whenever, let's say, I have both Shadowheart and Astarion, only her approval goes up when I know Astarion's should be going up too. I am physically going by a guide and his approval won't work.

Legit, He physically was proud and approved of something I said, but Lae'zel instead took the "approval" message.

I do check every time if his numbers are going up for the approval meter, and it's not. I don't want to have to put everyone in camp and only have him to do it. That gets annoying.

if you're really going to use a guide(is it a perfect guide?) you may as well use a trainer and just max affinity on there. that or just go look up the sex scene you wanted to watch on youtube

The guide is only for astarion. Everything else is blind. The point of the post is the approval system bug. The only thing that is being "guided" on is which options he will approve for. But other than that, Idk what I'm doing in the game, and I am having fun the way I'm playing it Isn't that all that should matter? I don't care for the sex scenes, I just want him to be my character's partner and I am invested in his storyline. I don't like any of the other romancable characters so I wouldn't want my character to be with anyone else either.

Other than what I stated though, have you experienced this bug yet? Where it will only do a single-person approval and not multiple? Cuz idk what to do about this and it's actually annoying if it is a bug!

the approval system doesn't do anything at all so you can just completely ignore it, i think they cut it from the game but left it in the UI

Maybe it's a bit late to answer, but in my experience Astarion doesn't gain approval before you discover he's a vampire.

No matter what the approval message tells you, if he hasn't conffesed to you he's a vampire it won't work. After that the bar starts moving.

This is a very late reply, but I've been experiencing the exact same thing. I've also been using an Astarion approval guide, and it has worked so far. But, when I talked to Araj and said Astarion is his own person (which I know is a guaranteed boost of an approval), nothing... I've tried reloading and taking everyone off my team, but nothing is working. Have you been able to find out how to fix it?

If you're using a list of all the ways to gain approval with a companion, very quickly you will have max approval. At that point I don't believe you see approval messages anymore.
