Are companion endings missing scenes? [spoilers]
I've completed two full playthroughs and the ending scenes for my companions both times have been quite bad.

1st playthrough: Custom Character who saved the world killing the tadpoles/brain and turned mindflayer.
Laezel: pretty decent with anti-vlaakith. went back w/ orpheus to fight.
Wyll: goes to avernus with karlach or just does nothing
Shadowheart: Saved her parents, she litterally had zero cutscene time at the end
Astarion: comments how he can stay in the sun if MC kills himself or goes back to avoiding the sun if he doesn't.
Karlach explodes or goes to avernus last minute with Wyll (I know they added more I have to go back to see it)
Gale: comments that he can look for stones to gather them for mystra.
Jaheria: nothing
Minsc: nothing
Halsin: nothing
main character: kills himself for sad ending. Not killing yourself is the only way to see anything from gale.

2nd playthough:
Dark urge: did both for bhaal and save the world. There was no take over for yourself option.
Bhaal was the weakest ending of all. No companion story at all.

For saving the world:
I kept raphael alive and made the deal with him. but he's never mentioned and he never shows up.
Laezel was decent again here. Orpheus was the mind flayer and laezel was pro-vlaakith. Feels bad leaving it on "she flies off to an unknown fate" ... can we know what happened to her?
Astarion: pretty bad ending. he doesn't mention that we didn't control the brain like he wanted at all. He's pretty indifferent to anything happening.
Shadowheart: she comments on gale wanting to be a god. but thats it.
Gale: comments that he wants to get the stones to become a god. so very close to the same ending as last time. very poor.
Minthara: no ending at all.
Dark Urge: this is okay, you can kill yourself to spite bhaal or you can give in and walk away ominously. it's mild though.

I just feel like these endings don't give any closure to the companions in any way. It feels like they are missing a lot of scenes. Why does Gale never meet with Mystra again, why does Raphael not show up to make good on our deal? Why does shadowheart and astarion just kind of exist in the end? Laezel and Karlach are the only characters where anytthing actually happens for an ending. Someone please tell me you get better endings if you play the origin characters?

Same. I feel like they looked at the calendar saw the date and went oh crap just release it without the rest of the ending!

That b/c you turned all your companions into thralls and they are all standing by your throne...your throne of all Faerun.

The Ending when you saved the world as dark urge/mind flayer suggest there is more if you tried to cure the urge instead of going with it.

I also had a weird withers scene added on when i saved the world as the dark surge, occurred after the credits. Said i had no soul for turning into a mindflayer.

I just finished a third playthrough as Wyll and I finally got a bonus raphael scene at the end. This time I entered the house of hope after making a deal but the only thing I took was Mol's contract.

Unfortunately Wyll just doesn't have an ending in the game unless he goes to avernus with karlach. Playing as him was nothing more than a custom character who got some lines that address him as mizora's pup or his father's son.

Whats also unfortunate is how you need to romance a character to find out what they do next in the game such as Halsin and the orphan kids.

I did run with Karlach as mind flayer this round as well, so maybe that helped trigger the additional raphael scene? Still I love this game bunches but the endings need work really badly.

Especially how it implies you get a better ending with Gale if you take control of the crown, but you don't. You just mind control all your friends.

Oh and can't forget how the bhaal ending and the take control ending are the exact same except for the 2 words you say at the end. "In my name" vs. "in Bhaal's name"

I'm starting to rant now, but the endings are really bothering me after 3 playthroughs.
